Security Providers

I'm working with the new security providers (GXE 4.0.1).  I'm making changes to the site security & permission but none of these changes are being reflected in the viewer?  According to the New features video applying security should implicitly deny anonymous access.  This isn't happing either?

Just wondering how to trouble shoot Indenty Server issues..?
