Proportional symbols not showing up in Geocortex

I've got a map service with one layer is using proprtional symbols where the size and rotations are based on field values.

The problem is that nothing show sup for that layer. The symbols show up fine in arcgis when the service is loaded, but nothing in the geocortex app. The legend appears correct in Geocortex though.

If I load the sinlge layer as a feature layer instead of a service, then I get plain black circles (and no legend).

Does Geocrotex not support proportional symbols?
