updategraphics activity questions

I have tried out the new updategraphics activity - really cool!

i have a couple of questions.

1. how do you delete or remove the created graphics from the layers table of contents in the viewer?

2.  i had some trouble trying to create a variable the represented that huge string for the renderer, so my user could select the color  by a simple name.

3. can you extract the new graphics layer, i couldn't seem to do that.
