Problem in Essentials Manager when using proxy pages

Hello.  I'm setting up a site that accesses remote secured services using a token and a proxy page.  The services load fine, and when I test the connection, it reports success.  However, in Manager if I then place a local map service below the remote services, I get a weird prompt asking me for username/password for the local service (which is unsecured).  If I move the local service above the remote services, the prompt goes away. In the attached image, the aerial photos services are secured remote services, and the Basemap service is the local unsecured one.  Using Essentials 4.02.  Any ideas?
