how do you retrieve codedvalue domains in a report

I have a field in a report called "State"  it has domains  0:Alaska, 1:Arizona etc

 

in my report designer  i put the name State for a field associated with a text box, but i the the code displayed such as "1", but what i really wanted to show was "Arizona" 

I am using the template report activity in workflow, so do i need to do something there instead of in the report writer, such as get coded domain activity?
