The site stopped Working!!!
My site stopped working suddenly, it can’t be edited in the Essential Manager, and when opening it from the production machine or from the client machine it does not load. I tried to add a new test site, it was created fine and I added a map service to it, but when adding a viewer (Using Silverlight 2.0 template) an error occurred and the operation failed. This is shown below with screenshots.
1- The site can't be editted.

2- A viewer can't be added to the new "test site"

I face the same problem, in my case the errors started to appear after installing the new Essentials 4.0.2. I am not able to add a Silverlight Viewer (both 2.0 and 2.1) with the same error as HaniDradi mentions here. Adding stack trace:

It can be added, but it doesn't get loaded (the page is blank), refreshing the page doesn't help. It gets loaded only when I sign out and in again. After inspecting with Fiddler, i found this in the request:
Geocortex Essentials Sites Directory

Solved!!
Try to add a new template (in post installation configuration), then launch the viewer from it (site>> viewers>> click the new launch url), if it opened, try the old one, I hope it will launch properly.

Hello,
actually it worked for me too, but when I add a new one, it doesn't work again. It looks like the configuration file is not complete right after creating the viewer (e.g. the SiteUri is missing). When I change whatever in the configuration using the manager and apply changes, the configuration file gets completed (suddenly there are some 60 lines more) and the viewer then loads normally. All my colleagues working with the new version (sorry, I meant 4.2 not 4.0.2 as I mentioned before) have the same problem.
Thanks for help!
