Upgrading Workflows from 3.15 to 4.1

I've just upgraded my local Essentials software to 4.1.1 and the Workflow Designer to 2.21.1.1

One of my workflows which worked perfectly in the older environment doesn't even fire in my upgraded site.

Are there any particular issues that need to be addressed when converting workflows to work on upgraded sites?

  The workflow in question only works in my updated Silverlight v2.2 viewer but not in the updated Html5 v2.2 viewer.

  Why would an existing workflow work in one viewer but not another?
