A service is displayed on the production machine but fails on the client’s in 4.0.2,

The “WestBank_2012_50cm_TMGrid_jpg” service is displayed if the Geocortex application is launched from the production server machine. If the application is launched from a client machine, this service is not displayed.

At the ArcGIS Server level, this service is displayed properly

/customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000eluKiEAI

What might be the issue here?

  That's a very good question....sounds very IT related:

  - Proxy server issues

  - browser incompatibility with service type through Geocortex?

  - silverlight cross domain issue

   

  I believe we are going to need a lot more detail to help with your problem.

  Thanks Ryan.

  I set the firewall to be off and then all works fine.

  But how come that when the firewall is on then only one service is blocked while other services are kept displayed?

  Perhaps they were added to the Geocortex site differently?  If you look at the Connection properties for the service in Geocortex REST Manager, are the base URL's very similar?  Does one connect via http and the other through https?  Was one added to the site by machine name and port number, while the other was added through a more public URL?

  The two services have the same settings in all terms. This is what confusing me the most.
