Google Street View for HTML5 viewer?
Hi All,
I was wondering when the Google & Bing buttons will be available for HTML5 viewers?
I'm currently on HTML5 template 2.0 and Essentials 4.0.
Also, is there a way to manually set this up now?
Thank You,
Laura

Soham,
That website doesn't seem to be available
Thanks,

Soham,
That viewer is also unavailable.

Sorry about that Cody,
This link should work: (http://geo.grey.ca/Html5Viewer/Index.html?configBase=http://geo.grey.ca/Geocortex/Essentials/REST/sites/Test/viewers/Test/virtualdirectory/Resources/Config/Default) https://geo.grey.ca/Html5Viewer/Index.html?configBase=https://geo.grey.ca/Geocortex/Essentials/REST/sites/Test/viewers/Test/virtualdirectory/Resources/Config/Default

Just upgraded to GE 4.3.1 and the GVH 2.4.1. Bing and Google Maps work with custom URLs in Chrome now, but they still don't work in IE 10.

@ Soham
That link is giving me "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"
@John
Are you running IE 10 in compatibility view?
0 -
Yep, I was. It's working in IE 10 normal mode. Great catch, thanks!

It is supposed to be https://. I had it as http:// before, I changed the text, but forgot to change the link

No worries, that did the trick. In the configuration file, there is a small typo with google maps (the 'p' is currently capitalized), and should look like this:
"view p ointIndicatorUri": "Resources/Images/Icons/location-direction-blue-32.png"
If that doesn't resolve the issue let me know.
Thanks,

That was it. Thanks for your help Cody.

So I have the streetview working on the desktop but on Safari and Chrome on an iPad, the street view panel keeps displaying "Street view data not found for this location".
I can move the cursor to a location on a street for which there is known imagery with no change. There is a constant grey screen of "street view data not found".
Yet works on the desktop. The desktop.json.js and tablet.json.js have been edited (and the text looks the same).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
carmen

Hi Carmen,
It might be that the id in the configuration of tablet.json.js is not the same, as it is case senstive. If they match, then checking the debug log (ctrl + shift + `), after opening the 3rd party maps tool may give more insight.
Thanks,

I got it to work but I am not sure if both or just one of the fixes solved the problem.
I was given a mixture of devices to try and it turned out that some were on the City's network and some were not (but didn't realize it until after I made change #1)
#1 change - I copied the section in desktop.json.js with the Google Street view section added to the Integration section (because I knew it worked on the desktop) into table.json.js. That way I was ensured they were the same exact thing.
#2 change - I discovered the Geometry service set in the HTML Viewer settings (vs. the Site Settings) in Essentials was set to our intranet server. This obviously caused problems with Streetview displaying on devices not connected to the City's network when working with our test server. But now I am unsure which wireless network was being used at the time of the original error. It could have been #1 or #2 and I am not about to go back and figure it out!
All devices I had to test with now seem to work with the Google Street View.
Thanks,
Carmen

@Cody,
I'm trying to find the code gallery sample in the new support site, but it is no longer available and any old links to it are broken. Can you point me in the right direction?
thanks

There is the "Community" at the almost top of the screen. It is actually a drop down, in the drop down it list:
What's new
Community
Knowledge Base
Code Gallery
Ideas
Videos
Downloads
If you still don't find it, here is the link.

That link still does not lead to the Google Street Map Integration.
The link in the HTML2.5.1 Admin guide is also not correct.
Would be helpful to see this document. I am giving up searching on this new site.
Anyone that can link to it, please do so.

Hi Cody. I tried adding Google Street View to my HTML5 site. It works great in Chrome. However, in IE11, when you try to drag the pointer around, it only drags a few pixels before dropping the pointer. This means you can only move about 1 photo over at a time. Have you run into this?
My site's at https://webmaps.orcity.org/Html5Viewer_2_5_1/Index.html?configBase=https://webmaps.orcity.org/Geocortex/Essentials/REST/sites/OCWebMaps/viewers/html5_OCWebMaps/virtualdirectory/Resources/Config/Default
the Linked Maps button is in the "Share" tab.
Thanks!

Hi Chris,
This issue appears to have been introducted in GVH 2.5 after Esri fixed their mouse-drag event for IE10 and IE11 (NIM094815), which broke our work around. A fix will be available in the coming months.
Thanks,

I have incorporated into my site, google maps hybrid and streetview, with both coming on by default. They both work great, but when I set sync buttons to true, panning in the geocortex map only moves the google maps pane. If i full screen streetview and then dock it again then pan the geocortex map again it then only moves the streetview not the google map. Has anyone else experienced this? Seems like it wont sync both integration panes together with the geocortex map.
GXE 4.5 and GHV 2.6.
Cheers

Does the Google Street view intergration code you deployed support synchronization in GVH 2.6? 0 -
My reseller has suggested its a known issue, sync doesnt work as required in gvh2.6. 0 -
Has anyone had issues with Chrome and Google Street View lately? All other browsers work, but not Chrome. See image below.
It appears its blocked out somehow._img_ alt="User-added image" src="https://latitudegeo--c.na53.content.force.com/servlet/rtaImage?eid=90760000000XbFj&feoid=Body&refid=0EM60000000XtGy" _/_img_0 -
Expanding on my previous post, I am currently building an external site and sync works brilliantly on WGS84 projection. So I believe the issue occurs for us when our internal projection is GDA94. 0 -
Hi All, (version 4.5.1.58) I have been trying to get Google Street View up and running and when I allocate the "Linked Map" tool I get a flicker. I have tryed with a new site and same outcome.

Here is the Console:

I have reallocated the API Key and verified the "GoogleMaps.html code along with the Desktop,json.js code. does anyone have any ideas on what to check next?0 -
Hi Kurt,
You may need to clear your cache for the change to be picked up. If it's still not working, please open a case so we can help you investigate!
Thanks,
