Named Extents, theme

Hi folks,

Is there a way to have a Named Extent set for each Layer Theme such that when a user changes to any given Layer Theme they are automatically zoomed into a correlating Named Extent?  And it would specifically be a 1:1 relationship between Named Extents and LayerThemes in the instance I am working on.

  Not that I know of. +1 for the idea of an initial extent for each layer theme though. The preview area in the layer theme admin area is so close to being an initial extent setting interface... One thought - if you're setting the layer theme in the launch url, you could also request the extent as a url parameter. If you're setting the layer theme via the user interface though, that won't work. Move this to enhancement requests? Chris J

  How about building a workflow that activates the layer theme and zooms to the extent you want it to? You could have one workflow per theme, or you could ask the user to choose a theme and then have the workflow apply the settings associated with it.

  I'll look into a workflow, thanks for the idea, but, to Latittude, that seems more complicated than it should be.
