Loading the app when offline
Offline application works great. Occasionally we will have a lockup or the application will just close. I know that with 2.2 we now have the ability to login/logout which keeps the session open. Our issue is that when the device is out of range, broadband and wifi, when we restart the application, it still searches for the initial http webpage. Obviously it can't find it and it forces us to drive, sometimes great distances to get a working signal just so we can restart the application. Then we drive back to the initial location to continue our offline procedures.
Is there a way to have the application restart and pick up where it left off? At least JUST when offline? That way we don't have to find a signal just to get the application restarted.

Hi Jeff,
You're using a custom implementation of the viewer, correct? I'm looking at an older copy of the project we did for you and it seems to be missing a cache manifest: the static list of resources that the browser needs to cache in order for the application to be able to start offline. I've raised this issue internally and we'll get back to you regarding a solution.
Thanks,

This thread sounds very interesting. Do you mean there's a way to start offline an html5 viewer on a browser inside a mobile device? This would be big news for us!!!

Yes. If you are using the Geocortex Mobile Application Framework on Windows or on iOS, you can load viewers offline, perform editing, and even use base maps. Your account manager or partner contact will be able to give you information on how to obtain the application.

Jason, that's all clear now! I already knew about this and we've already started the process for having our iOS Mobile Application and I'm downloading the Windows version right now. I misunderstood as I thought it was possible also just through browser!
Thanks for the info
Guido
