Force Index Refresh After Edits
How do you force GeoC to rebuild the index to pick up changes to the data? I want to be able to see changes to the data in a service as soon as possible.
There are about 26,000 features in the service so the index does not take long to remake. I want to do this every morning (programatically would be best) so the data is always current to the previous day when the edits are moved to the production layer.
My thought was to go into the map service properties in manager, press the little trash can button, ignore the warning, and delete the index. Then start it again and the data will refresh.
When I test it in on a edit about 3 days old using the global search the old information still appears in the results. The map tip and the attributes have the old data. Didn't I delete the index? I also tried republishing the service and same result. If I do a search without the global search, or using a report, I get the edits correctly.
