Our apologies; the Road Ahead webinar for August was cancelled, due to illness.
Keeping you up-to-date each month is a priority for us at Latitude, so we have summarized the most important updates we planned to share with you:
1. Upcoming Releases
Development is complete on Geocortex Essentials 4.2 and the 2.3 versions of our HTML5 and Silverlight viewers, and we are rigorously testing everything in quality assurance. These releases are looking great, and a few of the more notable features you can expect are:
- The new configurable layer list functionality
- Charts within the HTML5 viewer
- Charts in printing and reporting
- Streamlined access and polish to Portal and ArcGIS Online within Essentials Manager
- Hefty new capabilities in the HTML5 viewer for building queries and filters and editing related records
- Geolocation "following" functionality in the HTML5 viewer
We've been pushing hard to complete these releases for the end of August, but it will be another week or two before we have brought everything to the level of quality you’d expect from us. Look for these releases by mid-September.
2. Targeted/Industry Solutions
The development work on our new Public Safety product, Active Operating Picture (AOP), is now complete and we are actively working with our first few customers to prepare for deployment. Stay tuned to hear more about our early successes as AOP is introduced into the market.
3. Optimizer 2 - Geocortex Insight
Significant development work on the infrastructure for data collection and storage has taken place and we've been busy designing the optimal reporting interfaces for visualizing and understanding your GIS data.
4. Future Plans
- Continue working on WCAG 2.0 / ADA requirements, which will result in a compliant version of our HTML5 viewer and improve accessibility for persons with disabilities.
- Mobile/offline improvements, including support for Android and more administrator-defined offline profiles.
- Improvements to Instant Search: crawler performance, secured services, and support for coded value domains.
- Continued focus on Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS.
- Many more features and capabilities in our HTML5 viewer.
Don't forget: Geocortex licensees can view the(http://latitudegeographics.cmail2.com/t/j-l-ikujdtt-bijuuykdl-j/) 2014 Geocortex User Conference Plenary in the Geocortex Support Center to learn more about our vision and direction for the months to come.
Thank you for your understanding regarding the cancellation of this month’s Road Ahead webinar – we hope to see you at the next one, which will take place on Tuesday September 30, 2014 at 10:00 PDT. You may register here: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/353946902
