Use Spatial Query Results (parcels) to Query Non Spatial Data in SQL Table
Hi there,
I'm trying to create a workflow that allows the user to select one or many parcels in the viewer, have that go and pull related data from an SQL Server table, and finally offer this up as an Excel spreadsheet to create a mailing list. All of the Workflow examples on this site use mailing information that is right on the ArcGIS layer but our addressing information is located seperately in a SQL Server DB. The common ID would be the parcel ID's between the spatial data and the table.
I'm struggling with two different methods...
1) Use the "Get Attribute Value" activity and get the Parcel ID's from the selection out of ArcGIS Server. Then somehow put these ID's into a selection query to use in an "SQL Query" activity.
OR
2) Somehow use a "Search Table Parameter" activity to use the Search Table I've set up in GeoCortex that uses my SQL table.
Does anyone have any examples of either of these methods or some advice on which one to use?
I've poured over the forums but can't seem to find exactly what I need to piece this together, if this has already been addressed could you please direct me to that post?
Thank you so much for your time,
Grant

I managed to get in touch with a fellow Geocortex user and they shared their workflow .xaml file with me. It went with the SQL query route and it works, I'm very grateful for the help! :)

Grant,
Would you be willing to share your workflow file? I am trying to do the exact same thing. We manage our mailing addresses in SQL. Let me know.
