Instant Search Index
Hi All
I was trying to find out where the index for the instant search is stored, as I want to check on the size in our Dev environment before promoting the function to production. Note our we run two separate servers for Geocortex and ArcGIS Server 10.2.2. I was assuming that it would be on the ArcGIS Server, but I cant seem to find it.
Any hints greatly appreciated

Picking this thread up a little late, but we really need to remove some instant search indeces. They are space hogs, and we're not using them currently. So, what is the best recommendation? Delete everything in the 'Scanner' folder? Are there unpleasant consequences by doing this?

I haven't figured this out. We still only have one service indexed on this particular server, so if I need to rebuild it I still just stop GAS, delete the 'data' folder, restart GAS, and then rebuild the index. This recreates the 'data' folder and all related subfolders.

In 4.3 I don't think there is a way to delete individual indexes, but you can delete them all by deleting the following directories:
DistributeDB and Search
Located at:
C:\Program Files\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Core\Data
You will first need to stop the Geocortex Core service.
Now the indexes are built MUCH faster in 4.3, so it might be possible to create a nightly routine to delete the instant search data and set them to reindex...0 -
One other thing that I've learned - in 4.3 you can set a maximum of three services to build the index at the same time.
