HTML5 Viewer - ListenForExternalEvent - CollectExternalEventArgs

Hi,

 

I am trying to implement ListenForExternalEvent - CollectExternalEventArgs workflow in the HTML5 2.2 viewer.  I found about 5 forums that point to the constrain-initial-extent example but doesn't seem to work in the HTML viewer.  Is it possible to implement in HTML5 or does the ListForExternalEvent only work in the Silverlight viewer?

 

The workflow essentially goes like this:

 

User selects a Highway - Mile Marker

 

Map zooms to location

 

Highlights the location of the Mile Marker

 

If the user pans/zooms the map, the highlighter marker will clear itself.  Otherwise the highlighted marker will clear itself in 10 seconds.
