    1. Open up Legend.rpx using Gcx Report Designer

    2. click 'detail' section

    3. On the property panel (bottom right usually), there are 'Data' section where 'ColumnCount' = 1, which is the one you need to play around I think

Thanks Munwhan - that's really simple, I just missed it.  Only issue is that the column spacing, even set at 0, is much wider than it needs to be.   Is there a way to set that so that so that there is not so much wasted space between columns?  The example here is set to show 4 columns, with 0 as the spacing value (wouldn't accept -1).

    hmm.

If you set ColumnCount =4, the screenshot you posted seems to be cut-off so that all Legends can't be fit on that space.

    Check this

    1) File menu

    2) Reporting Settings (Width and Height)

    3) Printer Settings and Page Setup

Also for your investigation to see what the real space the each setion of Legend, you may put SHAPE control with the solid boundary to see how it renders ont he PDF.

Yes, it takes  some trial-and-error experiment to make the output as what you expect....

    Good luck

Thanks - Still working on this, but on the surface this makes zero sense to me.  ColumnCount of 4, ColumnSpace=0.   This is only showing 2 columns, and only about 60% of the values that should be in the legend.

    Hi there,

Was this ever resolved? How can you change the width on the collumns? Many thanks!

    Hope this helps,

If you click in the details section of the Legend.rpx and look for the Layout Height property in the right panel that will set the hieght of each item in the legend.

If you click Settings in the right panel then look for the Behavior PrintWidth property this will set the width of each item in the legend.
