Phantom Layers in application
Hello,
I am having a very unique strange issue that I cannot seem to get my head around. Phantom layers are appearing in the applications. These layers should not be part of my application. I have a series of applications, and everynow and then (for no apparent reason, as in the have not been touched or edited) this issue arises.
The issue is that “phantom layers” show up in the application in the legend and on the map. These layers are not part of the application and have not been developed in the application.
When you open up Geocortex you can see the layers on the map and the legend but they do not appear on the layer list. So you cannot turn them off. NONE of these layers are part of the application. These layers exist in the mxd and the service, but have not been called off to be in this application. The only solution we have found to both of these issues, is to add the “phantom layers” under the Add/Remove Layers tab, save the changes and the remove them from the list. This process seems to clear up the issue.
I have attached a link to the application and also a word document with some screen shots. I really hope some one has a solution. every few days I have to open up the live app, check it out and then go into Geocortex to "fix" the issue.
thanks!
Larisa

Just an update with this issue...beacuse this application is live and available to the public, I have temporarily "fixed" the issue by implementing the solution I talked about. I have added the phanotm layers into the app, saved it then removed them again. This seems to fix the problem. so If any one goes to look at the app usign the link...it will work, everything will appear ok.
any ideas out there people! HELP!
