Setting up test environment - where to put Web Adaptor?

Hi,

We are new to Geocortex Essentials (and new to ArcGIS Server), and I am currently setting up our test environment.

I'm wondering if there is a recommended location for the Web Adaptor?  We have the option to install it on the same server as Geocortex Essentials or on a separate internal web server.

The internal webserver hosts several other applications, while the Essentials server is dedicated solely to Essentials.  I would like to put the Web Adaptor on the Essentials server.  Both are Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.  

My apologies if this information is already available... I have spent some time searching the forum, knowledge base and admin guides, but could have easily missed it.
