Scale Bar on a report

Is it possible to but a scale bar, north arrow, and legend on a report?  In the report designer there are Geocortex Essentials tools that say "Scale Bar", "North Arrow", and "Legend" but when I add them to the report nothing appears or the report fails.  I do not need a print template, really need those options in a report.

  +1. I have feature maps in my report and need to have a scale bar that represents distances on those maps. 

  Follow this thread for adding the MapScale Control for feature maps and also how to add a North Arrow.
