Offline TPK

ok, this is related to my other posts but I'm getting more general with this one. I created a blank site with a generic HTML5 viewer and only added 1 base layer with my TPK file for offline. I can't even get this 1 map service to work. Online, no problem; offline the device loads and loads and then crashes. TPK and the map service (ESRI Streetmap 2D) are in the same projection.

Has anyone got the offline tpk to work with 4.2 and iOS8? I'm struggling here. Thanks :)

  After a few tries, we succeded with a TPK generated from a vector based map. 

  Looks like it depends on the right order of operations, this is how I did it:

  • remove the site from saved sites in the app
  • re-generate offline bundle from manager and save site
  • re-open the "Launch in Geocortex App" link
  • Configure offline data
  • Synchronize
  • Test off line and should be working
  • Add site to saved sites

  @Guido Sitta: You mentioned you generated a TPK from a vector based map service.

  I'm only seeing the option to add TPKs for basemaps. How did you set it for a non basemap, or did you have to set it as a basemap?
