Has anyone used a layer chart in Report Designer?

Hi There,

I'm trying to add a layer chart to a report in Report Designer and so far I haven't had much luck. I've already watched the product feature video (http://support.geocortex.com/including-charts-in-reports) and despite populating the 'DataFieldName' parameter and adding the report to the layer, my report comes up blank.

I feel like it's too easy and therefore I'm missing something, can anyone share their experiences adding charts?

  Does this only work for single feature charts? 

  Can i hook up multiple Layer Chart reports and launch as a TemplateReport activity?

  ie:  Report that has a chart for wells, pipelines, and facilities in the area.

  Hi Ryan,

  I ended up contacting support regarding this issue and it has been identified as a bug with no ETA for a fix (bug ID: GE-6323). To the best of my knowledge, I would answer you're questions with the following:

  1. Does this only work for single feature charts? (Should work for any chart, can't remember if the feature video elaborated on that...)
  2. Can i hook up multiple Layer Chart reports and launch as a TemplateReport activity? You should be able to hook up multiple charts provided the associated features are part of the selection, it works kind of like map frames/feature maps) .

  Hello all, GE-6323 has been fixed in Essentials 4.3. As Warren mentions, you can use both single and multi feature charts in reports and also hookup multiple charts using the Temp alteReport activity.

  Hi Alejandro,

   

  Now that the bug has been fixed, I'm using layer charts in my reports for the first time. I'm curious though you've mentioned hooking up multiple charts using the template report. Is there somethign special I have to do for this, and how do I go about doing it?
