Instant Search Problem *

When using the global search (with instant search enabled) to find records the following strange scenario happens:

When searching for a value that does not exist neither in the index nor in the service, the viewer keeps searching for it despite the fact that it is not available (the search-progress indicator remains moving without stopping. This behavior causes confusion to the user who will wait the viewer to find the value which does not exist. How can I eliminate this? This is shown with the screenshot below
