Add Shapefile & update LayerList

we are using Essential 3.15.1/HTML5 1.3.1 and will upgrade to Essential 4.2.1 / HTML5 2.3 .  

I have simple question regarding HTML5 viewer

1) Does HTML5 1.3.1 or HTML5 2.3 support Add Shape file (shp,shx,dbf,prj) & update LayerList (TOC – Table of content)?   if not, is it possible to do with javascript?

2) Does HTML5 1.3.1 or HTML5 2.3 support Add / Remove Layer in LayerList (TOC – Table of content) dynamically with workflow or javascript?

  Hi everyone,

   

  1. The Upload Data tool, which was released in version 2.6, allows end users to add shapefiles (and other file types as well) in the HTML5 viewer.  It also adds the new layer to the Layer List.  Uploaded layers can be removed using the layer actions menu.

   

  2. The RemoveMapService activity can be used to remove content from both the Layer List and the map. I would also recommend looking into Layer Catalogs, as they often solve requirements that involve bringing layers into and out of the map.  If neither of those suit your needs and you'd like finer control over the Layer List specifically, I would recommend posting in the Ideas section so that other users can vote to have workflow activities available for this.
