Relocate Geocortex Essentials to a custom location

Hi,

We are trying to reinstall Geocortex Essentials in a custom location and the install complains about the following:

System.InvalidOperationException: Error creating web application: /Geocortex/Essentials/RestManager ---> System.InvalidOperationException: The virtual path /Geocortex/Essentials/RestManager is hosting a web application.

   at Geocortex.Deployment.UI.ConfigureWebApplicationPanel.Commit()

   --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

   at Geocortex.Deployment.UI.ConfigureWebApplicationPanel.Commit()

   at Geocortex.Deployment.UI.ConfigureWebApplicationPanel.Geocortex.Deployment.UI.IPostInstallItem.Save()

   at Geocortex.Deployment.UI.PostInstallFramework.Save()

We have tried numerous uninstall/reinstall cycles (cleaning up the registry and the files manually since the uninstaller seems to leave everything behind).

Any idea?

  Also, we are using Geocortex Esstiantials 4.2.2.

  Hi Eric,

  When you did the uninstall, did you try going into IIS Manager and removing all sites under Geocortex-->Essentials?  It's complaining that a junction point already exists in IIS for Rest Manager.  If you haven't already tried it I would uninstall everything and use IIS Manager to remove the web sites that the post installer created.
