Changing Geocortex Essentials Return URI?
Hello,
We have installed Geocortex on one of our server but when we attempt to access the RestManager via the /Geocortex/Essentials/RestManager URL, we are noticing that that once we get to the arcgis online sign-in screen for login, the redirect_uri is not going to the domain we would like to use. Where is this redirect_uri set? Can we change this without reinstalling?
To be clear, what we need to change is the “WRONG_DOMAIN” part in the url below:
https://someone.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/oauth2/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=someid&redirect_uri=http://WRONG _DOMAIN/Geocortex/Essentials/RestManager/security/callback&state=...
Thanks,
Eric

Did you ever find a solution to this issue?

Hello Eric and Eric,
Please take a look at the section 'Configure Manager Sign-In Using ArcGIS Online' in the Geocortex Essentials Installation Guide.
There are step-by-step instructions on how to add the appropriate redirect URI in ArcGIS Online in order to use the sign in for Manager.
Thanks,

Perhaps there's another section that includes these steps? I read through " 8.3.5 Configure Manager Sign-In Using ArcGIS Online" & cannot find anything referring to the redirect uri.
We already have the app registered with our AGOL organization & have the redirect listed on that end, but it doesn't appear to make any difference.

Hello Eric,
That is the configuration that is required on the ArcGIS Online end. The URL that is defined is what Essentials Manager uses for the sign in redirect. For Manager, see the section "Option 2: Configure Sign-In Using ArcGIS Online" for running the Post Installer, and entering either the ArcGIS Home Page URL, or your organization's ArcGIS Online Portal.
There may be additional configuration required based on your security environment which would require help from Support.
Thanks, Stefan.0 -
Stefan - thanks for your help.
We ended up removing all the local machine name entries in our host name list to resolve this issue.
Thanks,

No problem, glad to hear it's working now.

Removing the local machine name entries in the host file for Essentials Manager worked for us as well. 0
