Server Error in Rest Manager Application
Is anyone familiar with this error? All of our apps are down and I can't open Essentials.
Thank you
Scott

Were you able to resolve this, Scott? I am getting a similar error after upgrading to 4.3.

Hello Scott and Stephanie,
That error is originating from System.IO, meaning that the resource you are trying to reach exceeds the maximum length allowed by the operating system (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365247(v=vs.85).aspx).
A Fiddler trace of trying to log in, would show the length of paths you are trying to reach. To fix, you will need to shorten directory and/or file name lengths. Thanks, Stefan

I have Fiddler but I don't know what to look for. There is an error at this url
http://gis-map1dev/Geocortex/Essentials/RestManager/Error?aspxerrorpath=/Geocortex/Essentials/RestManager

This is an old thread, but did you ever get a resolution to this?
Out of the blue, this started happening this morning. Can't access Manager or any of our sites. Fidller just shows that the request failed. The windows event viewer logs show multiple warnings with the path too long message.
It doesn't seem to be affecting our Essentials 4.5.1 instance - just Essentials 4.2. We've had both installed together for over a week, so I don't think it has anything to do with that.0 -
Hi Peter,
Using Fiddler or the browser's dev tools can you see what the URL is that is causing the error?
Please feel free to email support at support@latitudegeo.com in a case like this.
