Just wondering if anyone else is have this problem?

Also, if you have upgraded to 4.2.1 and DON"T have this problem, I would like to hear as well.

    Thanks.

    Hi Bret,

I recommend having a look at the following article :

    https://support.geocortex.com/single-sign-on-with-essentials-manager-and-viewers

and in particular step 2 - configuring the hosts.  If the server is using a reverse proxy you will need additional host names added.

    Thanks Wayne,

Doing the second step and configuring my public url for the geocortex site fixed the problem.

    I appreciate the  help!

I was having a similar issue with essentials manager 4.4.3 - I could log into the manager by using a web browser on the server, but not a web browser remotely.  I fixed the issue by:
    1. opening IIS on server
    2. navigate to the restmanger site
    3. clicking on authenticate
    4. make sure windows authentication is enabled (and perhaps anonymous too?)
    5. right mouse click on windows authentication and select providers
    6. most important bit - make sure NTLM is at the top of the list
