ArcGIS Server 10.3 bug - Export Map
Hi. Has anyone had problems printing maps that include cached services that were built in AGS 10.3? We just updated our basemaps (first time using 10.3) and they don't print in Geocortex (older caches and dynamic layers print fine). The Export Map feature has the same problems.
I put in a call to Esri support and they are looking into it. If it turns out to be a bug I'll be quite annoyed, as we need to be able to print our basemaps, and they need to be cached.
Has anyone else run into this problem?

If you go to the AGS REST endpoint and try to run the Export Map function, the problem shows up there - that's why I think it's an Esri problem not a Geocortex one.

Hi chris,
which version of geocortex manger & viewr are you using ?
try to upgrade to G.E 4.2.2 and see if the problem still there.

Using GE 4.2.1 and SVL 2.3.1.
Esri has confirmed it's a bug on their end. Hopefully they'll get a fix out soon.

I filed a case with ESRI on this, they just got back to me:
~~I want to let you know that the analyst from Esri Inc logged the following bug:
BUG-000084947 - 'Export map image' throws error 500 at REST endpoint for cached map service in ArcGIS Server 10.3 (published and cached in 10.3)This is a critical bug and it has been assigned to the server product team already.
I tried their suggestion to publish from a lower version of arcgis desktop but the result is the same.
It seems like this issue only happens with compact cache. As a workaround for now, I think you can republish a map service and set the cache format to exploded (under caching > Advanced settings > click the Advanced button > Storage format). We are guessing the export map issue might be happening due to the new version of compact cache storage format at 10.3.---------
I have not tried their work-around yet because I think it takes a long time to convert the cache. Everything was working so well in 10.2...

Updating this...running the tool Convert Map Server Cache Storage Format is the workaround for caches that are already created. Once run I can export images from REST and print from Geocortex and the tiled layer created in 10.3 will show up.

Indeed - thanks for sharing. We were just about to upgrade to 10.3 but will hold off until a fix is available from ESRI.
