Workflow to pass argument to "Advanced Query Builder"

I am new to workflow designer and will be taking the class in June.  In the meantime I just need to make a button for the toolbar or an "I want To" workflow where the user clicks it and it instantly filters one layer on one specific attribute and value.  The user doesn't have to input anything.

Is this something easy to perform?  I figured it was a good business case to teach myself bad habits before the class.  I also have this as an immediatae business need.

  I think the simplest form of this would be to start with activity ConfigureWorkflowContainer, then GetMapServiceInfo, then SetLayerDefinition.

  There is also a Filter tool default in the toolbar, but I have found that non-gis users find it unfriendly.

  I second that opinion about the Filter tool.  Jessey's method is a solid one that my users have found to be really easy to use, too.
