How to Pass Windows AD Credential to Data Table

I am trying to capture and pass the Windows AD credential for the user logged into a site to an editable REST service to capture who edited data. Can Workflow do this? Or is there a better way to approach this issue?

  Mark, if your site uses windows authnetication (or LDAP enabled geocortex idendity server) AND your user is signed in, the "Get Current User" workflow task will return your users AD name and roles.
