Essentials Manager does not recognize domain account
We are installing Essentials for the first time, following the install guide for 4.3. We are using Windows sign-in. In the Post-install procedures, we are using the Builtin/Administrators group, which has the local Administrator account as well as my domain account. Our intent is to use my domain account when working with Geocortex.
The documentation implies that any account added to the Administrators local group will be able to log in to Manager. However, the only account that actually is able to log in is the local Administrator account. This has our IT guru stumped, as it seems to be defying logic.
I'm sure the answer will be a 'forehead slapper', as I am sure we are simply overlooking something. Maybe we missed some crucial detail in other parts of the post-install?
We are excited to get started with Geocortex, if only we can get past this hurdle. Thanks for any insight.

What OS did you install on? Are you getting any kind of messaging back when you try to log on?
We had issues with our Windows 2012 Server when we tried to log on locally. The log on dialog would appear but kept denying access. It has to do with User Access Control I believe. The solution for us was just to log in from a different computer instead of trying to do it on the local Essentials server.

Peter,
Thanks for responding. We installed on Server 2008 R2. No messaging or errors. The browser opens and it attempts to load the page, then pops a login dialog. After 3 attempts at using the domain account login, the page simply "dies".
When you say "log in from a different computer", are you talking about using remote desktop or some other method? Logging in via remote desktop exhibits the same behavior. If there is a method for running Essentials from my PC when it is installed on the server (other than via remote desktop), I'd love a HowTo. That was actually going to be a question I researched once we got up and running

Peter,
Follow-up to let you know that your comment regarding logging in via a different computer was the apparent solution. After I requested a HowTo about how to do that, I kicked myself because GE Manager is a web app and I know how to formulate the URL to get to that app (duh!). I did need to use https rather than http. Http is what the shortcut on the server was using, but modifying that to https on the server didn't change the result.
Thanks again for the nudge in the right direction. It appears we are on our way!
