Essentials 4.3 Post-Installation
Our post installation seems to be hung on the "Migrating Instant Search" step. It has been this way for hours.
Does this typically take a long time? We are upgrading an a development server, so if the new upgrade of Essentials is a several hour process typically, this would be good to know so that we prevent any downtime on our production server.

Ours got "stuck" at that stage on our development server as well. In our case we had Instant Search checked on, but no indexes actually created. Not sure if that was the cause of the problem...
We contacted Latitude Support, and they remotely helped us to move the upgrade along. I'd contact them to determine what's causing the pause.
We haven't upgraded our production server yet - next week.
Good luck!

Any progress on this issue?
We have hit the same issue with our DEV upgrade.
Cheers

Hi
I just updated my Dev server to 4.3 and it is also paused at Migrating Instant Search. Is calling support the only way to fix this. Iv crashed it twice and rerun it to only have it stop on the same thing. Any write up on how to fix this would help. Thanks0 -
I'm in the same boat. Has anyone found a resolution to the issue? 0 -
I've struck the same problem. It would be great if someone from Latitude could post a solution or possible options for people who've struck this. 0 -
We ran into this issue when we upgraded to 4.3, from memory we restarted the Geocortex Core service and that got it working again.
Hopefully this works for everyone.

I got in touch with our local vendor and they found Latitude fixed this problem in the GE 4.4.1 release. I installed 4.4.1 and it successfully completed the upgrade. 0 -
I ran into this also at 4.4 (without the .1) - support had us alter the registry to remove an item. After that, the post install worked quickly. Contact support for the exact item to remove.
But yes - did NOT have the issue with 4.4.1 if you can go ahead and skip to that. 4.4.1 also solved a major issue we had with graphics not printing correctly.0
