Initial extent bug with html5
Hi,
This is to notify you that there is a bug with defining the initial extent for a site. There are a couple aspects of this:
1) The extent differs greatly between desktop and handheld. Both the scale and the extent are different, which means you can set an appropriate extent for one or the other, but not both.
2) Initial extent varies depending if the data frame is open by default. For example, if I center the extent on my area of interest, and configure the app to not show data frame by default, it works as expected, but If I do configure the viewer to show data frame, the initial extent is offset. This also impacts the 'return to initial map extent' command on I want to menu, etc... In some cases, clicking that button returns you to a slightly different extent than the extent that the app loads.
Thanks

Regarding the last part of item 2, I notice the same problem. The "different extent" is actually much nicer than what loads initially. I wish it were the "different extent" that would be the initial extent. But how can I make it so? 0 -
Just after posting my last comment, I found the solution to my problem here. 0
