Overview Map
Hey All
Just wondering if anyone has played around with the Overview Map, whereby it remains "locked" in at a state level (doesn't move) and the location box moves relative to its position. In the example attached, if I zoom in to a small feature, say an area of vegetation, in the middle of the State. The overview map just shows a blue box surrounded by whote...I know I could build a detailed Overview MAP, but in certain areas of the Sate there are no roads or identify features to allow the user to know where the are in relation to anything. Just a blue box moving around a full state map would be ideal. I have played around with the Extent Scale Factor but cant get it to do what I want.

Hi Steve, There is a way to have the overview map expanded when the site is loaded. Open up the Viewer.aspx file (usually found in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Geocortex\Essentials). Look for <!-- Overview Map --> .
In OverviewMap_Panel element, change the Expanded attribute to True.
< esri : FloatingPanel meta : resourcekey ="OverviewMap_Panel" ID ="OverviewMap_Panel" ... Expanded ="True" ... ShowDockedContextMenu ="True">
Let us know if this helps, -Flo0 -
Thanks for the input it worked. Cheers 0
