Parcel Report - 'q' is null

HI All,

 

Newbie to GTX - trying to set up a workflow to select parcels, buffer if desired, create mailing lists, etc.

 

When I try to run the workflow in a viewer (HTML) I get an Alert that "q is null"  - what is q and why is it null - not even sure where to go to try and resolve this.

  Hi Mike

  the first comment is that q will be a variable/object that is not getting set for some reason.

  Second comment is that it could do with a better name. Is 'q' a query string?

  Where did you get the workflow from?

  Have you tried opening it in the Workflow Editor?

  If so have you tried searching for q in the search box at the top of the Editor?

  I just got the same error in a workflow.  'q' is definitely not an explicitly named variable in my case, nor is it the name of any object/activity in my workflow.  I'm suspecting that it's an odd kind of generic error message, and given my workflow it might refer to the results of a query within workflow not having any results?  just a theory though.
