Instant search and ghost features

Not sure if I should call this a bug or just be aware of this. Since instant search only updates its indexes every 7 days or so, if a user out in the field, online or offline, deletes a feature that feature will still show up in the instant search, query tool, advanced query tool and display a ghost feature. I discovered this after a user removed 12 polygons from one of the layers yet it was still showing up in the query tool. The pushpin is in the exact spot and the polygon outline is shown as a selected feature. I had to delete and rescan the instant search on this particular feature for the 'ghost' polygons to go away. I have since disabled Instant Search on the feature and all reports and queries are now accurate in realtime. Just thought someone should be aware and take precautions.
