No pins for HTML5 query?
Hi,
When performing a query in the silverlight viewer, pins pop-up to show the query results, but in the HTML5 viewer there is no indication of where anything is from the query results. There isn't even a highlighting or pin that pops up when the feature is clicked in the results list so it's impossible to tell what feature on the map represents which listed feature. I couldn't find any settings to affect this. Can anyone help or was this just a forgotten feature?
Thanks,
Rob

Are you experiencing this for all services in your viewer?
We are having an issue where the pushpins only appear for some of our services, but not others.
The Query tool works fine and returns a set of results, just no pushpins. And selecting one of the results does not highlight the result in the map and does not zoom to it.
For other similar services everything works fine. And by similar I mean they are both tiled and they both contain only parcels and the query is the for the same set of parcel numbers.
Does anyone know what may cause this?

I had a similar problem which was related to have mixed map projections between our map services and the Esri basemap we were using. Turns out the pushpins were being display in another country. The map services were republished to match the basemap projection and the problem was resolved. Also, it's my understanding that the last map service listed in the Map Service tab defines the projection for the viewer.

Thanks guys.
Dan - I'm not actually sure since I haven't tested the query tool much with HTML5 viewers. But the behavior you are seeing is the same for us. It returns results but no panning/zooming to feature and no pin.
Frank - I'll try experimenting with the order of map services. I'm not sure re-projecting everything is an option. I thought the data frame always used that of the online services when those were world systems.

And when using the identify tool everything works fine.
After an Identify, selecting the feature from the Results List highlights the feature and zooms to it. It just doesn't work from the Query tool for some reason...

Yeah same here. So this seems like a geocortex bug then? Are you on 4.3? Or have you updated to 4.3.1 for HTML5?

No, we are on GE 4.2.2 and HTML5 2.3.1.
We also notice that the results that do highlight from the Query tool are offset from the actual feature, whereas the results from Identify and Global Search highlight where the feature actually is.
So there is something up with the Query tool.

The service was missing the SHAPE field from its definition.
Once it was turned on and republished, the Query tool works fine.
