Export to xlsx shows hidden fields
When I use the Export to Excel on the feature actions menu, the exported xlsx file shows all hidden fields. Not optimal. I am assuming that it will work if I hide them in the mxd, but this means I can't access them for advanced users. ???

Also, one of the fields doesn't export, just has the field name and blank values.

Also, also, when I hide the fields in the mxd, the field names still come across, but the values are blank. Better, but still weird.

Update: hiding the fields in the mxd works (after you remove them from the site), but doesn't solve the issue of allowing certain users access to different fields.

Just bumping this again as I still have an issue with one of the fields not exporting with data. It is supposed to be a string field, even though it is generally a 12 digit number, and I'm wondering if this is causing a problem in Excel. Has anyone successfully exported such a field to Excel?
Also, when I export to shapefile the field is changed to a double and shows all 0s? Is there something in this function that tries to detect field types? Also, is this function a compiled one or do we have access to its config somewhere?
Thanks,
Heather

I have the same problem here. In the export to Excel and .csv are all the attributes of the layer, it doesn't take into account the attributes that you show/hide in Geocortex Manager. This is not the way we want this to work.
Does anyone have a solution?

I haven't figured this out either, or the problem of my string field of 12 numbers exporting to a double with blank values. Anyone?

I am seeing an issue with Export to excel in the list view vs. Table view. It probably pulls up all my highway numbers in the table view but in the list view like Heather is stating it conforts by string field to a double then loses by information (blank data when it should exist-just a string!). Looks like this might be a bug. Using: Viewer for HTML5 2.5. 0 -

Hello everyone,
This feature has been completed in GVH 2.6, and will likely be available within the next few weeks.
Thanks, Stefan
