Geocortex Core Services doesn't start completely
Hi All,
My Environment
- Geocortex Essentials 4.3.0
- Windows Server 2008 R2 (running on oracle virtualbox)
- 8GB RAM
- Plenty of hard disk
My problem is, the Geocortex core service doesn't seem to function properly, because of which I cannot load the SITES or ADMIN dashboards.
The core console and the security console logs have the following error.
[2015-06-22 00:33:33,562][ERROR][Role: SecurityStore InstanceID: < omitted >][SecurityStore][Platform.Roles.SecurityStore.SecurityStoreRole] Exception while running security store.
System.FormatException: One of the identified items was in an invalid format.
at Geocortex.Platform.Security.Support.Storage.Cassandra.ContactEndPoint.Create(String value)
at Geocortex.Platform.Security.Support.Storage.Cassandra.CassandraServer.DeriveLocalContact()

Hi Adam:
I'm wondering if you can help us out. We have seen this before, and we are trying to track down the cause. You'll probably have to get Support to help you clean out the data folder. However, as far as this problem goes, I'm curious if you are aware of any performance tuning that may have been applied to your VM. In particular, anything regarding the file system cache or what not. We have seen an issue where some files are written out and instead of having data the file is blank (full of nulls). I'm surmising that this may be a result of performance tuning. This particular file "network.info" in particular is rarely written out which is a little more on the baffling side.0
