Identify command not returning results in workflow

I have a workflow that allows a user to select a parcel, buffer it at any distance they enter through a form, then does an identify on the new buffer geometry feature set.  It works, no errors, but it never returns results from the identify operation. 

I know this is a case of operator error, but I've tried many small changes to get this to work with no luck so far.  Has anyone built a buffer-identify tool successfully for HTML5 viewer?

  Hi Allen,

   

  You might try to pass the extent of the geometry rather than the geometry itself. This worked for me when using the identify Command.

  Can you post your workflow xaml? That's probably the easiest way to review it and see if there's anything obvious that's missing.
