GE 4.4 install fails with "infected" ca.dll
Install failed with an Access Denied on ca.dll. Symantec Endpoint stopped the install and quarantined the file. Any ideas?

Hi Heather,
This is Norton/Symantec blocking the custom actions of the installer. If you are able to temporarily suppress the antivirus software while you install you can get past this right away.
There are two sets of custom actions that we run. One when you run the Essentials MSI and another when the Post Installer invokes the Core MSI. Can you tell us at what point this error appears?

It happens after choosing an instance to upgrade. I am running it now with Symantec disabled.

Now I'm getting an insufficient privileges message, even though I'm logged in as administrator.

This is IIS locking that directory. An app pool or IIS restart will get past that.

I can't believe I forgot this happened to me 3 months ago with 4.3.1. If I don't write stuff down, and then remember that I did, it's gone. It would be nice to have something in the documentation that says "Heather, don't forget to recycle your app pools if you get permissions problems".

Thanks for the chuckle Heather. I believe that we have all been there.
