Possible print bug with HTML5 v2.5 and cached basemaps
I recently upgraded the HTML5 viewer for 2.5 to take advantage of some bug fixes. I now find that my print jobs are not working properly. My print templates allow users to select from various scales. The scales mostly correspond to cache scales, however our lowest cache scale is 1:600 and the print templates allow users to select 1:480 or 1:360.
When the user selects any print scale below 1:1200, the basemap does not print. Anything above 1:1200 and the basemaps print fine. The issue affects every basemap but not dynamic map content. This is not an issue in the Silverlight viewer and seems to be browser independent as well. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

I found that by forcing the basemap map service to override the maximum scale, that this will cause the print template maximum scale to also be updated. For example, in the ESRI imagery basemap, the maximum scale is 1:1128. Without the override of the max scale, the basemap would not print at the max scale. However, when I set the max scale to 1128, the print function now includes the basemap because I am forcing the print to use the max scale that I set....instead of the max one available. 0 -
Resolved! Thanks, Stephanie. I forced 'Override Maximum Scale' setting in the map service's Display Settings to be 1:200 (it was blank, which in theory the software interprets as 1:1). This had the desired effect on the print templates. I suppose that this is a bug in the GVH 2.5 upgrader but I'm not sure. I have not yet tried to create a brand new viewer in GVH 2.5. 0
