overview map bug HTML5 viewer 2.5?Hi all,

 

When setting up a site with a HTML5 viewer (version 2.5), there's something weird with the overview map. Wen zooming in/out or panning on the main map, the overview map does not respond to it. Moreover, there is no 'blue rectangle' to show the map extent of the main map, although it is configured. The overview map is thus static. With Silverlight 2.4 everything works fine. Is this a known bug?

  My overview map is displaying the rectangle, but it only displays the rectangle after panning the map. Right after opening the map it does not show anything. Once I pan it shows the rectangle. When I zoom, the rectangle does not change until I pan after zoom. So it is working better than yours, but still not ideal.

  I had a site and viewer (HTML5 2.5) with an overview map working. Then I added the World topo base map and the overview map no longer functions at all. Maybe it's a basemap issue? An additional note, when I removed the World topo base map no other map services are visible in the map now.  Grrrr.

  I also have the same problem

   

  The overview map is set to "Static" at the site level. However, it behaves as dynamic in the GVH app (the basemap in the overview map appears when zooming out)

  Hello all,

  The HTML5 Viewer currently only supports Dynamic mode. I've added your names to the list of stakeholders requesting the ability to set Static mode, and to select between Static and Dynamic modes.

  Please add my name to the list of stakeholders as well.  A dynamic overview map doesnt really work well for some of our regions.

  Hi folks,

   

  There is now an idea for this issue (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCIdeasDetail?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&id=087600000008eU7AAI&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials) here . Ideas' point totals give us a more relatable metric for relative interest in features and enhancements, so if static overview maps are a feature you'd like to see in the HTML5 viewer, please vote for this idea.
