When you hover over a record in the result pane, how to highlight that feature on the map?
Hello. When you identify a series of features, they appear in the results pane. In the Silverlight viewer, you can hover over each record in the results pane, and the corresponding feature will highlight in the map. This doesn't happen with the HTML5 viewer, so it's hard to know what features are part of the results set. Is there any way to enable this functionality out of the box in the HTML5 viewer?

Hi everyone,
This improvement has been filed, and will be considered for future versions (GVH-5175). I've also added it to the Ideas section here:
https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCIdeasDetail?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&id=08760000000LC8sAAG&categ=Geocortex%20Viewer%20for%20HTML5&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials
I encourage you to go vote for it, so it can gain visibility.
Cheers!

Daniel,
Was it revealed in the last Road Ahead webinar that this was going to be included in the next update of HTML5 to be released layer this August? I could have sworn I recall hearing that.
I've voted on the link you sent. Thanks!

Hey John,
I just watched the road ahead video (I hadn't seen it yet), and that feature was mentioned, but it was in the planning for 4.7/2.8 (the next major release after this one). It's at the 12:25 minute mark.
Thanks!

Thanks Daniel,
I didn't catch the part about planning ahead for 4.7/2.8. I thought those enhancements in that video were for this release. Thanks for clarifying!

Late to the voting party, we need this +1 0 -
+1 posts are hard to track and keep tabs on, so we've been moving away from adding manually people as stakeholders when they've +1'd and encouraging folks to (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCIdeasDetail?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&id=08760000000LC8sAAG&actType=comment&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials#ideaList-comments) vote on an idea instead . This will automatically make you a stakeholder and gives us an easy way to tell how "in-demand" a feature is, relative to other features. 0 -

Follow up: this feature will be available in the 2.8 viewer as part of the selection and highlighting enhancements. 0 -
So happy to hear this!
I swear I'm not being dramatic....this is single most requested enhancement my clients have been begging me for since we switched to HTML5.
Looking forward to trying it in Beta testing.

It looks like version 2.8 will finally achieve what my users and I would consider to be parity with the Silverlight viewer.
With feature highlighting, layer re-ordering, layer list filtering, result grouping, and other improvements, I am very much looking forward to this release!0
