How to designate required ArgGIS Map service by Javascript while HTML5 Viewer inititlization?
Hello,
Our product can showing English or French while initializing the viewer by Javascript. (indicates the proper "locale" parameter in the URL)
But we couldn't find a way (at initialization or runtime) to instruct the viewer to use the proper English or French ArcGIS Map service by the viewer's current locale set. So the strings from the ArcGIS Map service are not in the required language.
Does there a way to configure the HTML5 viewer to connect with proper ArcGIS Map service by Javascript?

Hello James,
Improved support for field value and locale formatting within GVH will be available in the next release, which will cover the use case you've described. The aim is to release this version near the end of the year.
Thanks, Stefan

Thank you Stefan for the information,
What will GeoCortex suggest to achieve this by the current version of HTML5 viewer?

Hi James,
Unfortunately, the functionality that you require is not currently possible in the HTML5 viewer. We have filed an improvement request on your behalf to add support for per-locale map service URLs. For reference, the issue ID is GVH-7545.
?For now, you may be able to work around this limitation by creating separate sites in Essentials for English and French, and loading the appropriate site based on the locale. This is obviously not ideal since you will have to maintain two nearly identical sites. If you end up going down this route, then you could create a parent site containing the configuration that is common to both sites (see "Inherit Components from Another Site" in the Essentials Administrator Guide).

Thank you, Eric. We will try the dual sites approach since we couldn't wait until end of year. 0
