URL parameter to supress results pane when using a startup query?
I have a startup query that zooms to an asset based upon the ID in the query parameter of the URL. The default behavior is to open the results panel to show the successful search result. On handhelds, in particular, to effectively see the mapped location requires closing that results panel.
I'd like to save my users that extra step. Is there a parameter I can add to the URL to suppress the opening of the result panel? Bonus if one can specify to only do this on handhelds but I'm fine with it being across all interface platforms.
Currently on GE 4.3.1 and HTML5 Viewer 2.4.1, but if this is a new feature of the latest version I'll plan a quicker upgrade timeline.

Instead of using a startup query, you could run a startup workflow. That way you can still run the query using Query Task and zoom to feature without ever selecting it (i.e. running a Select Features).
As far as only running this on the handheld version, you could also use the Get Broswer URL activity to read the URL and only run this sequence in the workflow if viewing the handheld interface.0 -
Thank you, John, for the ideas. I've gotten pulled to other things at the moment and haven't had a chance to circle back around on this. Luckily it's a "would be nice to have" request from users rather than a deal-breaker item. 0
