Possible to hide field names in results list when values are null or define placeholder text for nulls?

I have a string hyperlink field that shows "click here" in identify and search results. When the user identifies a feature that has a null value for that field, "click here" still shows although it's obviously just text, not a hyperlink. Is there a way to make the viewer display "N/A" or some other placeholder text for nulls? I'd also like to have the option to remove field names from results if the values are null. Possible?
