How can I convert an IList<Fileitem> variable into ICollection <Attachment> variable?

  do you mean System.Net.Mail.Attachment or some other type of Attachment?

  How are you making the IList<FileItem> ? Are you using the SimpleOpenFileDialog or something else altogether?
