Configure 'View Additional Details'
Hi,
At html5 viewer version 2.5.1, when user clicks 'View additional details' link from a maptip, the left panel displays the feature description and all of the visible fields, which is a bit redundant (why show the same information formatted different ways?). I'd like to know how to configure it to do do the following: show feature long description + attachments. I dont want to display the default list of visible attributes.
Thanks

Two options:
1) Turn off visibility for all of your fields in GE Manager.
2) Remove the FeatureAttributesProviderView from your Desktop.json.js file.
The first is a better option for changing the settings of one or a few layers. The second is a better option for changing the setting for all of the layers.0 -
John,
Thanks for the info. Just what i was looking for.0 -
I know this post is really old, but I'd also like to clean up the "additional details" section. For the fields that are included in the feature description at the top of the panel, I'd like to remove them from the list in the details section. I have been turning off the visibility as John suggested in option #1 above, but then those fields aren't visible in the tabular view. Is there any way to hide fields in the list view, but make them visible if the user switches to table view? For example, if the feature description includes address, city, state, and zip, remove them from the addtional details (to reduce the redundancy), but keep them visible in the table where there isn't a feature description.
Thank you,

I just posted a similar question about customizing the additional details/description section. I tried to remove the attribute provider in the json file, but when a user interacts with related records, that data doesn't show either. I'm assuming it uses the same view module for display.
The other problem with hiding fields in GE Manager is that then they are no longer available for advanced queries or export.0
